Latellya Smith founded Woodlake as a sanctuary where families could reconnect with nature without feeling crowded. She believed the true magic of the San Juan Mountains is found when you have the space to breathe and the quiet to hear the river.
Today, we carry that vision forward—maintaining uncrowded RV sites and secluded cabins just 2.5 miles south of historic Lake City. Our entrance sign stands as a welcome to generations of families who return year after year.
